Two Months

It’s two months to the day since Hannah Overton‘s murder conviction was overturned, and she was granted a new trial with the privilege of being presumed innocent until proven guilty.

At least in theory.

In actual fact, Hannah continues to sit in jail.  Not the Lane Murray Prison, thank goodness — she arrived back in the Nueces county jail a few weeks ago.  But what with judges and officials being distracted by this, that, and the other thing, bail hasn’t actually been posted yet.

American Thanksgiving is coming up.  It has been 7 years since Hannah celebrated a Thanksgiving with her family and hugged her children. Will Nueces County keep her behind bars for yet another one?
